The Lang-Stereotests® I-R and II-R are easy-to-use screening-tests designed for early detection of problems with stereoscopic vision of children. In contrast to most stereo tests they do not require glasses, due to the combination of random dots and a lenticular screen.
Target user group: Paediatricians, Paediatric ophthalmologists, Orthoptists, Optometrists, Opticians. Frequent users are often using both versions. Version II has on monocularly visible object which lessens frustration in patients failing the test.
Main purpose: Prevention or early detection of amblyopia.
Both tests display the silhouettes several stereo objects, each of them appearing on a different level, but only if the person has global stereopsis. When the tests are viewed monocularly, objects are perfectly camouflaged (except for Star 200'' on Lang-Stereotest® II-R.)

Lang-Stereotests® are well-known and being widely used because of their high reliability to differentiate between children with or without stereopsis (see scientific literature).
The Lang-Stereotest® I-R and II-R are a revised (-R) versions of the Lang-Stereotest® I and II. They have improved optical and print quality respect to the former versions, and have no monocular clues when used correctly.
